Rachael Maskell, MP for York Central is holding an online public meeting for constituents to attend and learn more about the Covid19 vaccination process. Rachael will be hosting the event along with the Chair and Chief Executive of Nimbus Care, Professor Michael Holmes and Maddy Ruff who oversee the operation at the mass vaccination site at Askham Bar. They will be joined by Peter Roderick a local Consultant in Public Health.
Already over 26.5K people have taken up their invite to receive the vaccination in York Central, with over 90% of people in the top 3 priority groups having received at least 1 vaccination.
Rachael Maskell MP for York Central said “ I have received a large amount of enquiries from constituents, many of which have praised the efficiency of the process in receiving their vaccination, however there may be some constituents who feel that they are not fully briefed about the vaccination process. It is important for people to feel well informed as well as confident when they receive their invite. This is a chance for members of the public to put forward questions which will be answered by the most senior people overseeing the vaccination rollout across the region, and I am delighted that we have been able to arrange this opportunity for the people of York to ask questions and to share their own personal experience.”
Professor Mike Holmes, local GP and Chair of Nimbuscare said “We are delighted with the progress being made at Askham Bar – this week we’ll will break through 100,000 vaccine given at the site. We welcome this opportunity to speak with the public and discuss any issues that they wish to raise” Said
