Time To Help The Community

York Volunteers
There are many opportunities to volunteer and help our community. Check out the York CVS website
www.yorkcvs.org.uk/volunteers or call 01904 621133 to find out more.

Check in on your neighbours
We have many local community and residents groups throughout the city, as well as mobile apps that keep us connected. Start or refresh your local street group and make time to check on your neighbours. A cup of tea and chat can help break the ice, if someone is feeling lonely or needs help but is unsure of where to turn. I am also working with churches and charities to identify warm hubs where people can go and get a friendly welcome, food and company.
