Send My Friend to School campaign

On Friday 21st June Rachael Maskell MP visited Bootham School to meet with the Upper School Room students. All schoolrooms students have taken part in the Send My Friend to School campaign which aims to help unlock education for all children around the world by breaking down the many barriers that children face on a daily basis such as disability, gender and race discrimination or no school being provided due to conflict. The Students handed over 161 pieces of work asking Rachael to raise this important issue in Parliament.

In addition they handed Racheal over 30 letter from Upper School Room relating to the continuing war and humanitarian crisis in Yemen asking her to raise the issue of the UKs involvement in this war which in all likelihood breaches international human rights law.
