At St Nicks Nature Reserve in York, Rachael Maskell MP joined volunteers this week to plant new trees on the site.

The trees were donated by Octopus Energy and will be part of the story of St Nicks for many years to come as the Reserve further develops the local environment; 20+ years after being a landfill site.

Rachael Maskell MP says:
“Yorks air pollution is still above legal limits and much more work needs to be done to clean our air. Our environment and our health are precious and I am pleased to see the continuing efforts of St Nicks Nature Reserve to plant more trees. Thanks to all the volunteers involved and to Octopus Energy for the donation of the trees.
