It is clear from the response from the markets today, that this economic crisis was caused wholly by Downing Street.

The Prime Minister gambled with our nation’s pensions and mortgages to pursue her illiterate budget, and has caused families across the country much hardship whilst still letting the oil and gas tycoons make massive profits. It is now clear to see that she is not the one calling the shots in Government, and begs the question how many more Ministers she will throw under the bus before she recognises that she is the problem.

Today, the Tory Government were forced to make a humiliating U-turn over their budget, but at the heart of it all, it has shown the clear water that exists between Labour, who will provide stability and fairness for all and the Tories who look after their own. From fracking to mooted cuts to those on benefits, this Tory Party is ideologically driven and unfit to govern.

It is time that the public had a say at a General Election and their interests were put first.
