This Easter, Rachael Maskell MP visited the Gateway Centre, Front Street, Acomb, to help hand in Easter eggs that have been donated by members of York Labour Party. The Trussell Trust run York Food Bank in Acomb which will distribute in all areas of the city where there are families in need.

Rachael Maskell MP says:
“Last year I joined members of York Labour Party to donate Easter eggs to the food bank and the staff were very grateful for them. Whilst many of us take our Easter treats for granted there are families out there who cannot afford basic necessities like food and heating, never mind treats for themselves or their children.

“I am grateful to everyone who has donated the eggs. Thanks to them lots of children will have a special treat this Easter.  I hope everyone receives an Easter egg or a treat of some kind and I would like to wish everyone a happy Easter.”
